Within minutes of meeting Ellwood von Siebold on 17 October 2008, we realized we would be hard pressed to meet a more remarkable, knowledgeable and passionate guide to recount WWII events, battlefields, military unit movements, veteran histories or any other military related fact than he proved to be. Though we had two well informed military history buffs with us, they were thrilled with the insights and accounts Ellwood gave of little known stories, soldiers, and sights. When he walked us through the battlefields, with pictures, we were all overwhelmed. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him as he brought these historic events to life for us. Our only regret was not having time to travel to Verdun with him!

We can't say enough about our tour with Ellwood. He has a way of making the history of WWII very personal and come to life. We took our three teenage children and they loved it. One of our sons is history buff and this was the highlight of our entire trip to France and Italy. I would highly recommend this tour.

What a wonderful experience, both informative and emotional! We stayed in Bayeux for the night and met Elwood in the morning. We spent a full day; Elwood is a walking, talking history lesson, and his home is a beautiful museum. We thoroughly appreciated his knowledge, his presentations, and his passion.

Ellwood took our group of five on the most amazing journey into the history of Normandy and D-Day. He is so knowledgeable of the events that took place and we loved the stories of individual soldiers. It truly helped bring the day to life. We not only learned about Utah Beach and Omaha Beach but of events in surrounding areas that we don't learn about in school. Ellwood thank you so much!
