Our trip also included stops at Rouen, Bayeux, several chateaux, Chartres, wine and Calvados tastings, and the American Cemetary. Monica booked great small hotels we wouldn’t have found on our own and set up excellent dinners each night. She was a pleasure to be with.

What really made the three day private tour for us was that she was able to provide such personal stories from veterans at the different sites, along with the bigger picture invasion strategies. Having someone who personally knew many of the veterans who fought there really made the tour feel like it was really bringing us as close to the history as possible.

The three day private tour let us go to all 5 landing beaches, and sites in those sectors, Pointe du Hoc, along with many of the airborne sites (which were a personal favorite).

The towns of Bayeux and Sainte Mere Eglise are charming. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in this region.

Monica is a history buff with a wealth of knowledge and information, she has many human interest stories. She lives in Sainte Mere l’Eglise so she knows the local area. I was drawn to the D-Day Battle Tours because of the convenience of begging with Saint Mere Eglise where I was staying then for a day tour of the major sites to include the Parachute drop and battle in Saint Mere Eglise, the battle of Saint Marie Du Mont, Pointe Du Hoc, the invasion beaches and other battle sites along the way. My tour guide Monica was very thorough, knowledgeable, entertaining and passionate about educating me on what happened there on June 6th 1944 and days afterwards. The price was inexpensive compared to others and there was no doubt I got my money's worth. This tour company is amazing and so is Monica. You wont be sorry.

It was the first time doing this trip and I simply cannot recommend it or Monica enough. Monica's knowledge is second to none and the tour itself is very informative. I have already recommended Monica to my friends and family back home in England. But, we all agree: after 12 years in Europe and probably at least that many guided tours, Rene was by far the best and we were all glad we toured with him. His pace was perfect. I highly recommended this tour and... read more guide. He has been interested in WWII and D Day since he was very young, so his knowledge and stories are vast and quite interesting. Even from a woman's point of view traveling with husband and friends, I was totally fascinated by the sights and stories. The landscape of Normandy and its beaches are beautiful. This is a tour not to be missed!
