What really made the three day private tour for us was that she was able to provide such personal stories from veterans at the different sites, along with the bigger picture invasion strategies. Having someone who personally knew many of the veterans who fought there really made the tour feel like it was really bringing us as close to the history as possible.
The three day private tour let us go to all 5 landing beaches, and sites in those sectors, Pointe du Hoc, along with many of the airborne sites (which were a personal favorite).

I was drawn to the D-Day Battle Tours because of the convenience of begging with Saint Mere Eglise where I was staying then for a day tour of the major sites to include the Parachute drop and battle in Saint Mere Eglise, the battle of Saint Marie Du Mont, Pointe Du Hoc, the invasion beaches and other battle sites along the way.
