This venture is truly a dream fulfilled. Since I was a small boy, growing up in England, I have been fascinated by the history of WWI and WWII and have collected militaria and visited battlefields for many years.
I purchased my house in Sainte Mère Église in 2002. The house turned out to have an unique history which sparked my specific interest in the American events of D-Day. This house is in the centre of Sainte Mère Église, opposite the church where John Steele hung from hisparachute and where another US paratrooper PFC Clifford Maughan landed in the gardeb on the 6th June 1944.
I eventually thought – why not live the dream? I moved to France, purchased the house and started to tour. From modest beginnings there is an ever increasing demand from people from many countries to tour and this seems to prove that my passion must be contagious! I have now included a tour of the British and Candioan Sectors which will further enhance your D-Day Battle Tours experience!
Along the way I have helped to make three DVD’s about the Americans in WWII. The first in the trilogy being about D-Day which I hope will be regarded as a amall contribution towards honouring the memory of those brave men who took part in that great moment of history.
